Dr Ong Say Yang is a senior consultant anaesthesiologist with the National University Hospital and Alexandra Hospital in Singapore. He completed his anaesthesia training in 2014 and underwent a one-year fellowship in chronic pain management in Adelaide at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and the Royal Adelaide Hospital in 2018. His clinical interests are in pain management, regional and obstetric anaesthesia. He divides his clinical time between the National University Hospital and Alexandra Hospital. He currently heads the Division of Pain Management Unit at the National University Hospital, as well as the pain service at Alexandra Hospital. Dr Ong advocates for inter-disciplinary collaboration in pain management and is the current President of the Pain Association of Singapore. Dr Ong also contributes actively in medical education at both the undergraduate level at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and at the postgraduate level as a core faculty of the National University Health System Anaesthesiology Residency Programme.
